The question on the minds of so many wrestling fans recent is — “Is Shawn Michaels going to come out of retirement for one more match at WrestleMania XXX?”

Maybe this will clear it up.

According to a report in the Elite section of PWInsider, the WWE has reached out to Michaels and have made it known that they would absolutely love for him to return for a singles match in New Orleans.  As far as whether or not it actually happens, it’s said that the “ball is in his court”.

Which brings up a popular follow-up question — “If Shawn Michaels does return, who will he face?”

In recent weeks, we’ve seen HBK cross paths with both Daniel Bryan and CM Punk.  This raised speculation that if Michaels were to return (a big IF, by the way), which of the two men would ge face?  Fans have even openly questioned whether a tag team match of Daniel Bryan and CM Punk vs Shawn Michaels and Triple H was a possibility.

According to the report, if Michaels actually does agree to wrestle one more match, there’s one and only one possible scenario — Shawn Michaels vs Daniel Bryan.

As far as the segment between Michaels and Punk on RAW that raised many eyebrows, it’s said that this only happened so that the WWE could temporarily put off a confrontation between Punk and Triple H.

No matter if Michaels decides to wrestle or not, he’s expected to play some type of role at WrestleMania XXX and will be featured prominently on TV leading up to the event.
