Ask a fan who they believe is the favorite to win the 2014 Royal Rumble and the popular answer will be either Batista or Daniel Bryan.  If the following report is accurate, it looks like you can cross one of them off of your list.

According to PWInsider, current plans call for Daniel Bryan to only take part in his singles match against Bray Wyatt.  As of this time, the current script for the Royal Rumble does not include Daniel Bryan in any way, shape, or form.  Furthermore, it’s said that his concussion has nothing to do with this decision and that the decision has been made to simply leave him out of the match altogether.

Obviously things can change, but Bryan was apparently never in the plans for the Rumble match to begin with.
