Eric Bischoff was notably absent at tonight’s live TNA Impact episode and if new reports are any sign of things to come, he’ll be absent indefinitely.
PWInsider first broke the news earlier today that Bischoff was absent from the tapings and could be gone for some time. They also mentioned that this news was widely regarded as a positive among most at TNA.
In an update to this story, PWInsider is reporting that at a mandatory meeting prior to tonight’s Impact, the entire roster was informed that Eric Bischoff was pulled from the road and now will be working for the company “from home”. The immediately reaction backstage is that Bischoff was either being let go or was told to stay home until his contract expires.
It’s ironic that the two people who are most responsible for the current financial standing of the company, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, are now seemingly on the outside looking in.
In recent months Bischoff was elevated to oversee the creative aspect of the company, so it’s clear that TNA feels as if they’re better off moving in a new reaction.
More on this as we receive it.
