TMZ Confirms CM Punk’s WWE Departure; Says WrestleMania Plans Have Him Gone For Good

via TMZ:

TMZ has picked up on CM Punk quitting the WWE and they have some more concrete reasoning as to why he’s leaving.

According to TMA sources, Punk’s decision to leave was solely on how the WWE planned to use him at WrestleMania XXX.  The report says that Punk was “livid” when he was told that Batista was scripted to win the Royal Rumble because Batista “isn’t in great wrestling shape” and “shouldn’t be featured in the title match at WrestleMania”.

They go on by saying:

“Punk feels he earned the right to be in the main event at WrestleMania — because he’s been wrestling tirelessly over the past year from house shows to overseas events. Punk was angry when he found out he’d be wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania instead of squaring off in the title match.”

The report ends by saying that Punk is completely serious and has no plans at all to return to WWE.
