The latest word on Christian is that he will be returning to action soon after WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. We noted last week that WWE creative was still working on plans for his return.
Another injured star, Evan Bourne, is still a ways away from returning after he had a match at developmental and it was decided he’s not ready, as noted before. There is talk of putting Bourne with Sin Cara as a tag team.

As noted earlier, there is strong concern over Rey Mysterio’s WWE future. This has led to WWE officials being really worried about a top Latin babyface more than ever.
The feeling is Alberto Del Rio hasn’t gotten over like they want, Sin Cara has been written off as a flop and Mysterio is always injured.

We noted before that WWE had nixed plans to do Sin Cara vs. Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 29 with the idea of setting a Guinness World Record for most lucha masks in one building.
Word now is that WWE is considering trying to set another world record at WrestleMania 29 – the world’s largest Harlem Shake.

Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Kane and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Tag Team Titles was at one point scheduled for Elimination Chamber but that was changed with Bryan and Rey going into the Chamber.
The entire card was reportedly re-done over the weekend.

WWE NXT head trainer Bill DeMott says women’s trainer Sara Del Rey is doing big things with the WWE developmental Divas. DeMott tweeted on Tuesday:

As noted earlier, Chris Jericho has signed a short-term deal with WWE that will see him work through WrestleMania 29.
Jericho won’t have to tour with his band Fozzy until late February when they head to Australia for 10 days. Their next dates aren’t until April 11th, after WrestleMania 29.
Jericho is free to work a full-time schedule between now and then, with the exception of two RAW episodes and just a few live events.

Konnan spoke about Rey Mysterio’s WWE status on the new episode of MLW Radio:
“Somebody seems to think that Rey was suspended for the wellness policy. Absolutely incorrect. He is dealing with a
family situation right now and he does have permission to be out. They know what’s going on and he will be back
soon. He is not injured. He doesn’t have any drug issues – and I’m not covering for him because he’s my boy… but he’s

Sources have confirmed that WWE released TAC (Brandon Carter) from his developmental deal.
The release wasn’t a surprise among some as Carter went on Twitter late last year and made some controversial tweets about how he wasn’t afraid of being fired and how he would go to TNA.

Sin Cara was in Mexico City last weekend for the grand opening of a gym that will feature a wrestling school this March. Cara’s father Dr. Karonte will be one of the maestros at the school.
Cara shot down rumors that he was leaving WWE soon and said he is very happy there. Cara talked about Rey Mysterio mentoring him and said it is like a dream.

With WWE making the switch to Alberto Del Rio as their top Latin babyface, there is talk that they have given up on Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara in that role.
The planned match between Rey and Cara for WrestleMania 29 may be off. WWE had expected to attempt to set a Guinness World Record by having everyone in the crowd wear a Luchador mask during the match.

- The dark main event after last night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Richmond, Virginia saw Sheamus fight Big Show to a No Contest.
- As noted, Sin Cara was backstage at Saturday night’s RAW tapings but not used. He noted on Twitter:
“Back in Mexico from my knee medical checkup, everything is good, soon I’ll be back in the ring.”
- On the January 2nd episode of WWE Main Event, WWE will reveal whether or not CM Punk can compete against Ryback on the January 7th RAW.

- WWE is now officially advertising The Rock’s return to Raw on the January 7, 2013 episode in Tampa, Florida.

- As noted before, WWE will return to Washington, DC on April 1st for the final RAW before WrestleMania. The pre-sale began last night but regular tickets go on sale January 24th. WWE confirmed last night that The Rock will be appearing on that show.
- Sin Cara was scheduled to return at last night’s RAW tapings in Washington, DC but did not wrestle. Cara confirmed via Twitter that he was at the arena but was not used.

Randy Orton and Sin Cara are expected to be back in action at tonight’s WWE RAW tapings from Washington, DC to air on New Year’s Eve. Orton has been out with a dislocated shoulder while Cara had minor knee surgery. No word yet on Rey Mysterio’s status but there are people within WWE who insist he is injured while others stick to the story that he’s still dealing with major personal or family issues.

As seen at WWE Hell In a Cell last night, Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio debuted new masks. Rey’s mask features Cara’s design on the back while Cara’s mask features Rey’s design on the back.
They will be using these masks from here on out.
