Jericho won’t have to tour with his band Fozzy until late February when they head to Australia for 10 days. Their next dates aren’t until April 11th, after WrestleMania 29.
Jericho is free to work a full-time schedule between now and then, with the exception of two RAW episodes and just a few live events.
Konnan spoke about Rey Mysterio’s WWE status on the new episode of MLW Radio:
“Somebody seems to think that Rey was suspended for the wellness policy. Absolutely incorrect. He is dealing with a
family situation right now and he does have permission to be out. They know what’s going on and he will be back
soon. He is not injured. He doesn’t have any drug issues – and I’m not covering for him because he’s my boy… but he’s
cool, he’ll back soon.”
Sources have confirmed that WWE released TAC (Brandon Carter) from his developmental deal.
The release wasn’t a surprise among some as Carter went on Twitter late last year and made some controversial tweets about how he wasn’t afraid of being fired and how he would go to TNA.
Sin Cara was in Mexico City last weekend for the grand opening of a gym that will feature a wrestling school this March. Cara’s father Dr. Karonte will be one of the maestros at the school.
Cara shot down rumors that he was leaving WWE soon and said he is very happy there. Cara talked about Rey Mysterio mentoring him and said it is like a dream.
With WWE making the switch to Alberto Del Rio as their top Latin babyface, there is talk that they have given up on Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara in that role.
The planned match between Rey and Cara for WrestleMania 29 may be off. WWE had expected to attempt to set a Guinness World Record by having everyone in the crowd wear a Luchador mask during the match.
