“Pain & Gain” Director Michael Bay has caught quite a bit of flack from wrestling fans over comments that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson needs to “grow up and stop wrestling 300 pound men.” Bay responded to the criticism on his website by saying:
“Wrestling fans, it was a joke said on Entertainment Tonight–with a laugh. You can see the clip for yourselves. The most important person to see the on-air joke was Dwayne. I love seeing The Rock wrestle. I hope he wrestles 10 more years. I joked on air because Dwayne was not at our LA premiere due to his injury.”

As noted earlier, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was forced to miss the premiere of “Pain and Gain” in Los Angeles on Monday due to an emergency hernia operation. Michael Bay suggested that The Rock should “grow up and stop wrestling 300-pound men.”
Triple H responded to Bay’s remark, writing on Twitter, “Who’s 300lbs???”

We noted before that The Rock revealed he suffered a torn hamstring in the WrestleMania 28 match against John Cena.
Regarding the injury, it was reportedly just a partial tear of the hamstring and not a full tear. Rock rehabbed the injury while filming Michael Bay’s Pain & Gain. A source says that Rock was limping backstage after the Cena match but not enough to cause alarm or get anyone to talking.

As noted before, Kurt Angle is filming a fight scene with The Rock on the set of Michael Bay’s “Pain & Gain” this weekend. Angle wrote the following about the scene:
“Thanks Guys! Still Shooting Movie With the Rock @ Director Michael Bay! Dream Come true! Bonus Is I Get to Beat Up On Rock. Sorry Cena. Lol”
Angle later wrote that he was “just kidding” about Cena and that they were not done filming. Angle added that Mark Wahlberg, Rock’s co-star in the movie, wants to do more movies with him in the future.
