WWE’s website has an exclusive video of Vince McMahon and Triple H presenting birthday girl Mae Young with her own Divas Title with her name on it. They noted that Stephanie McMahon had it made for Mae. Vince and Triple H called her the greatest Divas Champion of all-time.
Mae joked about how she’s going to wrestle Stephanie when she’s 100. Vince joked that his money is on Mae. They noted during the chat that Stephanie wasn’t at RAW last night because one of her kids was sick.
Here’s a photo of the three:

MichelleMcCool.net passed on along the following highlights of Michelle McCool’s recent interview where she talks about Torrie Wilson and Mae Young:
In general: “She’s a legend as far as Divas go. I think she’s always overlooked, some people just saw her more as the ‘ultimate Diva,’ but didn’t see her much as a wrestler — and she fought that the whole time she was there. I think everybody will agree that ‘Torrie Wilson’ is a name that nobody — no true wrestling fan — will ever forget.” [...] “I think she’s a great in-ring talent. I don’t think she got nearly enough as much credit as she should have.”
Torrie’s Character: “I honest to goodness don’t think that I can think of a single person in the entire world that is more genuine, nicer, funnier, kinder than she is. I love her absolutely to death. We hit it off from day one. I was able to ride with her a lot, get to know her, and we became dear, dear friends. She’s somebody that I know I’ll have in my life for the rest of my life.”
Forming A Friendship: “We were on different shows for a long time, and I can’t remember which year — it was probably her last, when she got drafted to SmackDown. We never know what’s going on behind the scenes on the night of the draft, so we’re all sitting back there… waiting. They call five or six people up to the guerrilla position for the draft, so that they can get the natural reactions when they tell us who got drafted to RAW or SmackDown. So, they call Torrie up there, and they do the draft that SmackDown got someone. Sure enough, it was Torrie and she walked out there and I remember she was crying on screen. She didn’t want to come to SmackDown! I remember Stephanie saying: “We got a natural reaction but we had to pan out because there were tears in her eyes and do a wide-shot. So I told her, once she got backstage: “Oh, I’m so sorry, Tor! I know this isn’t what you wanted.” She goes: “You’re not sorry!” So I started laughing and I told her, “Yeah, I’m not sorry. I’m kinda glad you’re on my show now!”
Memories With Mae: “A couple of us were in one of those bikini contests, which yeah, could have been any given night. This particular night, they brought out Mae Young — and she is absolutely amazing. She comes out in this one-piece bathing suit and she’s trying to strip down! We are literally trying to keep her from taking her clothes off in the ring, but we’re about to wet ourselves from laughing so much! The referee is telling us: “Girls, contain her! Girls, contain her!” We’re like… what in the world?! She’s strong as can be! I don’t care what age she is, she can probably beat my butt! Mae is just like, “move it, girls” and she’s pushing us to the side. Finally, Torrie just gives up and tells Mae if she’s going to flash somebody, turn towards JBL! We just started dying laughing. She was just ribbing us!”
Girlfriends Forever: “So from driving to the wrong city, hair extensions falling out, teeth coming out… any and everything in between, she’s just the kindest, most genuine person in the entire, entire world. I just mean that from the bottom of my heart. Love her to death and just wish that if anybody deserves ultimate happiness, it is definitely Torrie. She is one sweet girl… that I love.”

The trend of RAW being re-written several times on the day of the show continued yesterday in South Carolina.
WWE called Mae Young to the arena yesterday morning and she was backstage last night but not used on TV, because of re-writes. Brodus Clay was a victim of re-writes again as his debut was pushed back. As of yesterday afternoon, Clay was still scheduled to squash John Morrison but that was changed at the last minute.
Regarding Triple H and Kevin Nash, Triple H was at RAW as he always is but Nash reportedly was not there.
Mae did however appear in a backstage video with Zack Ryder and Eve Torres on WWE’s website. The video shows Ryder getting Eve to sign his US Title petition when Mae walks up and fist pumps with him.

Also in the October issue, Mae Young was profiled and tells about a promise Vince McMahon made to her if she turns 100 years old. She said:
“I plan on wrestling when I’m 100. My grandmother lived to be 113, so I figure I can make it into the ring when I’m 100. Vince promised me a match with his daughter, Stephanie, and his granddaughter, Aurora Rose, when I’m 100-years-old. I’ve got to live to see that.”

Harry’s mother, Diana Hart Smith, is also upset with WWE as she feels they carelessly handled her framed drawing of her late husband (click here to view the smashed picture of Davey). She says it was “the last straw.”
She wrote on Facebook, “This is my drawing of Davey’s, and the more info I am sent about this disrespectful injustice, the more shocked I am–this is the second time this has happened with this drawing, and they never took care of it the first time. And then to ask two weeks after Harry’s release if we can lend more items to Hall of Fame Fan axxess. These things are from Davey and Owen, my father, all legendary people who are no longer alive and it is difficult to fathom giving up these things which we would never be able to see, since it would go to the WWE HOF Fan Access. These are family possessions and unless Georgia, Harry or I, in the Smith household specifically, are at WWE Fan Access, we cannot see for ourselves.
“These aren’t belongings of just some random old friends–they are lost family members. With Harry’s release, I really doubt I would be flying to Connecticut to see my Hall of Fame memorabilia, and I would probably end up paying admission too. The smashed picture of Davey, which I drew of him, was the last straw, and this is the second time it has happened.
“I wonder what the significance of sending an 8 x 10 pic of Mae Young to Harry, Georgia and me was?”

The recently released Harry Smith has posted the following on his facebook page:
Well I’m not one to bury any companies or people but I’m afraid I have no choice here. The WWE after great difficulty of my begging, finally sent me back “some” but not all of my familie’s possessions from the Hall of Fame/Fan axxess. This includes, my dad’s ring gear, my ring gear, owen hart’s blue blazer masks, and singlet and lots of priceless family possessions. They sent a framed picture of my dad smashed, half the other stuff missing but they threw in a Mae Young framed picture. . Then they have the nerve to call me, two weeks after firing me, sniffing around asking if they can have it back for their precious Hall of Fame/fan axxess. Even though I am expendable talent, they wouldn’t mind just keeping my family’s last remaining wrestling stuff. Anyone can feel free to post this on dirt sites as I feel the world should know about how selfish and inconsiderate the WWE truly is.

Other names not mentioned here on the site at last night’s WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony include Norman Smiley, Diamond Dallas Page, Gene Okerlund, Mae Young and Jimmy Hart.
The Hall of Fame Ceremony each year also provides gossip as wrestlers can be seen out of character in a group setting. CM Punk and Beth Phoenix, who are dating, set together. The Miz set with Maryse and while I haven’t heard if they are an item, she was seen earlier in the day with Alex Riley.
