Ultimate Fighting Championship is in discussions to buy control of NBCUniversal’s struggling G4 gaming network, according to people familiar with the matter.
A deal would give the UFC, one of the leading producers of mixed martial arts competitions, its own distribution outlet for its bouts.
The price of the deal and size of the majority stake couldn’t be learned.

WWE Legend Jim Ross has posted the following on his official website:
“Former NBC Sports President Dick Ebersol is a lock to be a ‘celebrity’ entrant into the WWE HOF, IMO. Dick is a brilliant man and made many huge contributions to WWE including NBC’s presentation of Saturday Night’s Main Event which was bigger than big for WWE at the time. I really enjoyed getting to know Dick especially during the XFL days.”

It has been announced that Dick Ebersol, a longtime friend, ally, and business partner of Vince McMahon, has resigned as Chairman of NBC Sports after failing to agree to terms on a new contract with the network.
Ebersol was the longtime producer of the old WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event television program during the 1980s.
