Barbed Wire City: The Unauthorized Story of Extreme Championship Wrestling is an independent documentary film that studies the history of, and people who made, Extreme Championship Wrestling a cult sensation in the 1990s. The film takes an intimate look at this subculture and finds a very human story about athletes who see themselves as entertainers, and were willing to take massive amounts of punishment for little money based on the promise of something more within their industry. This is a film about culture and human beings-who just happen to use tables and chairs and violent acts as part of their performance art. This documentary is not owned or supported by the WWE.

Over the weekend, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige was being interviewed about the future of their slate of feature films in Great Britain when Dwayne Johnson’s name came up as a possibility.
Feige was extremely high on Johnson, commenting, “His name has come up in the past. I’m a gigantic fan of his. I think he’s incredible. I might have met him once a long time ago, but I haven’t really met him. I don’t really know him, but I think he`s an unbelievable personality and an unbelievable sort of force of nature. He`s awesome in `Pain & Gain`. He was great in `G.I. Joe`. He`s really kind of an amazing human being. His Twitter`s always cool and he promotes the hell out of everything he does. I would love him to be part of the Marvel universe somewhere, someday.”

Former ECW Star New Jack on NBA Player Jason Collins Being Gay: “This F*ggot Picked Booty Over Cootie”
0EDIT: New Jack has since deleted his remarks, but you can see a screen shot below.
Outspoken former ECW star New Jack is a man who isn’t afraid to speak his mind and not give a single care what anyone thinks about him. For example, remember the night Jerry “The King” Lawler had his heart attack on RAW & New Jack tweeted that Lawler was a “racist” and that he wanted him to “die slow”? Well, this one is sure to ruffle quite a few more feather. New Jack has taken to his Facebook account to comment on NBA star Jason Collins recently revealing that he is gay. Here are the unedited (and, like everything from New Jack, full of profanity) comments:
“Big ups to Jason Collins, the nba player who just went public and said that he is a faggot. This nigga picked booty over cootie. All of the fine ass women thats on the fucking planet, this nigga would rather have another niggas hairy balls resting on his forehead.Fuck gay rights and you dick suckers, teabaggers and carpet munchers who support that nasty shit…IT AIN’T RIGHT! NEXT, THIS FUCKING QUEER WILL WANNA PLAY WBA.NEWSFLASH,MEN ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO FIND OTHER MEN ATTRACTIVE YOU BUNCH OF CONFUSED MUTHAFUCKAS.CLIT NOT DI@K…WTFSMFH!!!!!!!”
In the second comment on the post, New Jack, worried that some just might take offense to his words, posted the following:
“If I have offended anyone…GO DIE!”
He then added:
“Excuse me while I have a shot of vodka, cut my fucking wrist and dive in the fucking ocean…fuckn reacharounder”
Here is a screen shot of the comments:

In a recent interview, ESPN analyst Stuart Scott told Soultrain.com that Ric Flair was “in the category of people I’ve met that “I was awestruck by.”
“I remember about a decade ago at a golf tournament I met Ric Flair,” Scott said. “And he knew who I was, and that just blew me away. There are so many athletes that I meet. A lot of the guys I know now. When I mention some of the people I’ve met to the younger generation, they’re like, ‘That’s so cool!’ But to me they’re my peers. If they’re good guys, they’re good guys.
When Ric Flair walked up to me and said, ‘Hey Stuart Scott, I love your work,’ I got excited! Even though I’m an adult Ric Flair came from my childhood. I used to love when Ricky Steamboat would beat him down.”

“Superstar” Billy Graham Health Update; His Agent Asks For “Big Time” Prayers as Graham’s Healthy Declines
0via PWInsider:
Scott Epstein, who represents former WWWF champion Superstar Graham, issued the following update on Graham, who is hospitalized in Wyoming:
Everyone please pray big time as his lab results from earlier today show he is malnourished thus they are putting in a PIC line in his arm so he can be given IV nutrients 24/7. Doctors are having difficulty stabilizing his blood sugar, he keeps dropping so low according to his wife that he is very very weak.
He does have an obstruction of some sort in his bowel or colon area and they are trying to clear it. If it doesn’t clear soon, this is day 8 in a Wyoming hospital, they are talking about surgery which is a last resort of course. Surgery would mean losing part or most of your colon, side effects from anaesthea especially when your immune system is so weak, and/or bleeding out as his 10 year old transplanted liver is in cirrosis stage, something that is very normal for a liver that old transplanted no matter how well you watch yourself.
The bills are mounting and thanks to a great fan who turned me on to a fundraising site we are trying to raise funds for Billy.
If anyone is interested in donating, you can find full details at this link.

Former WWE Referee Jimmy Korderas Talks His Upcoming Book, Being in the Ring When Owen Hart Died, & Much More
0Former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas appeared on Kayfabe Wrestling Radio with Alan Wojcik, where he discussed his book detailing his WWE experiences, watching Owen Hart fall to his death, the night after WrestleMania crowd, being awestruck by former co-workers, and more. Highlights from the interview are as follows:
What made him want to write a book? “Well, to make a very long story short, it began with my wife, Audrey. She was the one who kept saying after I left the WWE, ‘You know what, you’ve got so many of these great stories to tell; you should write a book.’ And I’m thinking to myself, ‘Yeah, but nobody wants to read a book about fun stuff.’ In my mind, I’m think everyone wants to read about dirt, you know, that whole ‘what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas mentality’. They want to hear what happens in Vegas, you know what I mean?
“I’m thinking I don’t know, and then I got together with Arda Ocal and we started doing our wrestling radio podcast and that sort of stuff and working on the ScoreTV up here in Canada. We’d hang around and I’d tell him stories and he’d say ‘You know, you should put that in a book. It’s kind of funny and some fun stories.’ And I’m thinking to myself the same thing. Eventually, he kept notes on his phone and he forwarded an e-mail to me with a whole bunch of stories on it and said ‘This stuff should be in a book’. So he’s the one who contacted me with ECW Press and we met with them and pitched it to them and they liked the idea and it ran from there.”
Asking the guys for help and better himself as a referee: “I did that all the time and I even asked the boys ‘Hey, if I do anything wrong, please let me know’. The problem for me is, and maybe I’m overly critical; I hated watching myself back because I am my own worst critic. Even the smallest little thing, I’d go ‘Why did I do that? Why did I move like that? Why did I look over there?’ I was never really happy with myself. You always strive to be as close to perfect as you can be because there’s no such real thing as perfect. Again, I would find flaws with everything that I did and it got to the point where maybe I shouldn’t be watching myself anymore. But it is kind of cool to see yourself on TV, I have to admit, let’s be honest.”
Was he ever awestruck by anyone in particular in the ring:“Almost all the time. It’s so amazing; I consider myself lucky to have been there for different eras. Like you said, the Golden Era with the Andre the Giant’s and the Hulk Hogan’s and the Randy Savage’s, and then Next Generation with Bret Hart and the Shawn Michael and that era and the Kliq, and then the Attitude Era, which people to this day still talk about and living through that, and moving onto the next generation with John Cena, Batista and probably my favorite of all time in The Undertaker. Honestly, I consider myself really blessed to be able to say that I actually got to work with all those guys.”
Being the referee in-ring during passing of Owen Hart and how it was almost deadly for him: “It is one of those things your try to put out of your mind, but it’s there; it’s always going to be there and I just have to come to terms with the fact that this is something that’s going to live with me and it’s something I can’t get out of my mind completely. Part of the process of writing the book too, when I was writing the chapter on Owen, I was hoping that it would be a little cathartic, maybe ease part of the pain for lack of a better word, that still lives with me today because, like you said, six inches to my right and I may not be here talking to you today. It did help a little bit (writing the book), ease some of that pain, but not completely. It’s going to be one of those unfortunate things that I won’t forget, but that I have to live with, I guess.”
The post-WrestleMania Raw crowd at the IZOD Center: “I’m two schools of thought here: 1) I appreciate the fact that the fans who paid their hard-earned money come and enjoy themselves and they cheer and boo and chant for whomever they want. They only issue I had with the post-WrestleMania Monday night crowd was it got a little bit crazy and overboard where they did it to amuse themselves as opposed to being entertained with what was going on inside the ring. So, it was almost like ‘We don’t care what’s going on in the ring, it has nothing to do with what’s going on in the ring; we’re going to start chanting and almost kind of hijacking the show to some extent. And I get it, I would never say to the fans ‘Don’t do what you’re doing. Don’t go out there and have a great time’; it’s just to me, it didn’t feel like it fit with the actual presentation of the show.
“The other thing is it seemed like the majority of the crowd were probably from overseas. It just felt like an overseas crowd, like you’d see in London, where RAW coming up from London, England next week. That’s the type of crowd it felt like, you know; with the soccer chants, the ‘Ole, Ole, Ole’ and that sort of stuff. But you know what, they were having fun and I guess that’s what the main objective is. I just thought, like you said, it was more to entertain themselves than to be entertained by the festivities.”
